This week was one of the best weeks ever. We started volunteering and we also started some sports stuff. One day we woke up and got on a bus. We then walked about 2 min to the ocean in Bat Yam. We then worked out on the beach. We each had trampoline and we had an instructor who taught a class. It was one of the best workouts ever. I love it here. I have made so many friends. This weekend people from Arad came up and we all just hung out and went to the beach. It was so much fun. Classes and normal life start tomorrow. I can’t wait.

Rachel:
ReplyDeleteIt has been my pleasure reading and learning about your experiences in Israel . Although I have not commented before, on at least a monthly basis, I login to see what you have been doing. Just reading about your visits to the museums for the blind, or you rafting, canoeing and visiting of temples makes me yearn for the opportunity to again pull out my passport and leave the states for a while. One day, I am going to have to visit Jerusalem the Holy City, it has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I can see myself visiting the temples as you have done.
I must admit I was not sure what a flash mob was or its’ purpose, so I visited a trusted Google site to so a little research – now I understand. To be quite honest, the term initially triggered thoughts of an unsafe activity – perhaps it was the word “mob” in the phrase. In any case, it sounded like fun and something I would have enjoyed participating in. Rachel, do you think we would have been able to be a part of a flash mob on Monument Avenue???
Well, I guess I need to get back to work, the registration process at the University of Virginia is this week and there are so many students and their parents here, I cannot find my way to the Exit doors. I am looking forward to see pictures when you return later his summer.
Remain Safe!!
